Seyi Makinde, the present Oyo State Governor and one of the best Governors in present-day Nigeria made the announcement when he received in his office some indigenes of the state currently in Law school.
According to the governor, the decision was aimed at encouraging the students and assisting them to achieve greatness in their academic pursuits.
Announcing the decision via his Twitter handle, Governor Seyi Makinde wrote
“Representatives of Oyo State indigenes at the Nigerian Law School visited me today. I approved the sum of N500,000 to be paid as bursary to each Oyo State indigene at the Law School,”
