No Going Back On NATIONAL STRIKE- ASUP

The Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics (ASUP) has decided that its members will down tools by 12 noon Monday, January 30, as earlier planned.
The General Secretary of ASUP, Mr Anderson Ezeibe, who made this known said that lecturers in the nation’s polytechnics have been mobilized for the one week warning strike stressing that “we will withdraw our services, both academic and administrative jobs.’’
According to him, no polytechnic is exempt from the national strike planned by ASUP to press home the implementation of their demands.
The ASUP president, Usman Dutse, a few days ago noted that there would be no academic and administrative activity any public polytechnic during the strike action, adding that the union has directed its members in all public polytechnics across the federation to ensure total compliance.
