Lecturers of the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), have stayed away from the classrooms as students finally resume after spending eight long months at home.
It will be recalled that the lecturers who were on strike since June, to demand payment of their salaries, had earlier vowed to continue with the action until their demands were met.
The eight months strike action was called off after the two owners, Oyo and Osun state governments was said to have released N250m each to the institution.
But in another development, ASUU, Ladoke, Chairman, Biodun Olaniran noted that ASUU was not consulted before the resumption date was announced to the students.
The public relations officer of LAUTECH, Lekan Fadeyi, told newsmen that  “LAUTECH has ordered resumption, the date cannot change”, adding that management is trying to put things in place.
