The management, staff and artistes of Kwara State Council For Arts and Culture showed a bundle of appreciation to Barr. Femi Adebayo, the Special Assistant on Arts, Culture and Tourism to Kwara State Governor for his immense supports during their visit to him in Ilorin today.
The visit was spiced up with dancing and other titillating performances. During the visit, the Director of the Council, Mr. Adebisi Oyewole described the Governor’s aide as an embodiment of meekness who usually match his talks with actions. He disclosed further that despite the ugly economic situation in the state and Nigeria by extension, his ingenuity and professional experiences have kept their activities flying to an extent that they became triumphant above other states in the just concluded National Festival For Arts and Culture (NAFEST) hosted by Akwa Ibom State Government.
The council then used the medium to appreciate Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed of Kwara State for making the young man with rich professional acumen his aide of Arts and Culture. They also sought the governor’s support on their outlined programmes for the rest of the year through the Barr. Femi Adebayo and other challenges facing the council.
In his response, Barr. Femi Adebayo expressed how elated he was with the accolades poured him by the council, especially the special dancing performance. In his words, “I have been appreciated in different forms in Nigeria and abroad but special performance has never been organized for me anywhere in the world, this is indeed the first”. He further assured the council that the administration of Governor Ahmed is ready to support anything that has to do with entertainment, especially now that every state is thinking diversification of economy. He therefore concluded by disclosing that Kwara State is interested in hosting a national festival on arts and culture and charged the council, as all years champion in Nigeria, to commence preparation with immediate effect. The visit then ended with prayer and group photographs.
